"When I get said, I stop being said and be awesome again. True Story." - Barney Stinson
I still think Tucker is the guy. We'll have to wait and see.
Another guy I thought about early, and read about on another board today is Jay Gruden. I wouldn't mind him at all.
I would take a hard look at Rob Chudzinski. He has extensive history in the NFL, and has been involved in a major college program at Miami.
Wonder why no interest in Kyle Whittingham, anothr guy I suggested early on.
I'd love Golden. He is a great coach. Building Temple to credibility I think is harder than what Saban has done at Bama.
I kinda like Rhoads, but I wish he had more on the field success. He seems like a great motivator but I worry he won't be able to recruit very well. I'd take him though over a lot of guys.
Diaco I'm not sure. He would be a wild card. Seems to have a lot of energy and a good HC personality though.
Mel Tucker I like. NFL HC, good energy, an up & comer. Only downside is I think if he has success I think he'd bolt to be an NFL HC.
The Not so Favs:
Childress-not a good personality to be a HC at any level
Bevell-Doesn't strike me as a HC kind of guy. Seems much more suited to be a coordinator. I guess to quiet would be the word of choice.
Rudoplh-not enough experience. He wasn't even a coord until last year. I would prefer Hammock or partridge over him.
The dream should be Golden, Petersen, or James Franklin
The backup plan should be Rhoads or Diaco. Tucker I don't think is interested at this point. He I think is an NFL kind of guy and wants to stay there.
Make a splash, proven head coach... Raheem Morris!! They fired Gruden because they were afraid he was going to leave!!!!!! If you need a "guy who knows why, and how we win at Wisconsin"... It is Jay Norvell! Simple as that, name one of them and we will have a top 3 in the Big 10 recruiting class!! But do it soon!!
Raheem Morris failed at TB...no thank you!
Carrol failed at NY, Saban failed in Miami, and Childress failed in Minnesota. Oh wait scratch tha last one.
Not only did he fail but it was a complete train wreck.
Whoever is named coach, it will be intersting to find out when he started to get looked at. Now Barry will say he was the one from the start, but I am guessing we will be able to tell if that is true or not.
