A look at the 99th Rose Bowl game between Stanford and Wisconsin and how the two teams matchup on paper.

The stat that stuck out to me the most is 3rd down conversion rate. Stanford is converting 64% of their 3rd downs, while UW is only at 35%. That trend needs to even out in the Rose Bowl for UW to win the game.
It has been like that all season long for Wisconsin...poor third down conversion rate. That is one of the reasons why they lost 5 games.
I'm certainly no math wiz, but that stat isn't right is it? 64% of 186 is 72??
Ball tweeted, "Danny o brien just messaged me this.. 'let's do this'... it shall be done then my man. #wiscONsin."
You're right. I was looking at the wrong stat here in my book
Well that makes a big difference. I never looked at the exact numbers, only the %. These teams appear to be very evenly matched, other than UW has a rather small advantage offensively, while Stanford has a small advantage defensively. Going to be a tight game, with turnovers likely determining the outcome, along with big special teams plays. I think playing in so many tight games will really help UW in this game and though UW is a 6.5 point underdog, I like UW to win 27-24. Barry will have the guys jacked to the max.
Can't wait for this game
