Evan do you by chance know or could you find out if Sam Dekker has been in any contact with Sheldon?

I'm seeing this one slip away...

You know for all the bitching that goes on about recruiting you would think that we would be positive. You think 17 year-olds don't read these boards? That every time someone bitches about the staff or how shitty this or that is they don't read it and note what's being said?

Why spend money on a message board if you can't speak your mind? If these 17 year-old recruits are spending time on here and spending money to keep up-to-date on what we have to say, they have problems. We represent such an incredibly small percentage of the UW's fanbase that they really shouldn't care at all what we think or what we have to say. We're recruiting fanatics and that makes us pretty weird.

Given the fact that RJ Shelton and AJ Natter have verbally committed to Michigan State and Nebraska, respectively, which of the following represents the typical desire of the Wisconsin fan base:

A) Continue recruiting both in-state players until NSD with every intention of flipping them back to Wisconsin

B) Stop recruiting both players because they have already verbally committed elsewhere

But they do? Speak your mind all you want, but kids notice. Complaining about never getting the so called best kids, that we are going to fall behind OSU and Mich (the Scout site spends a ton of time on this particular topic), that our coaches aren't very good, or that the good times are ending is self defeating. Kids are aware of these places and read them (Natter obviously did after some comments in an interview riled up fans). Why would they ever sign up to play for a place where the supposed diehards think we're about to be passed up (or where they're insulted by adults)?

They got a guard from Texas to commit, but he is going to go on a few visits. Posters start freaking out on their recruiting site, calling him the next Pittman (who switched to OSU last year). Someone goes after him on Twitter.

He is bothered by this enough that he tweets that he needs to be left alone. Now you say he has a problem because he cares about what someone thinks on the internet. I say he is a highly sought after player becoming angry because of MSU fans. Whither he should feel this way or not is irrelevant, the fact that he and others think like this is what matters.

Prospects read all this crap. Not all, but many. Why give them a reason to dislike the fans?

Something to consider is that he's being pressured to take a visit. He might just be making those things up because he can't think of anything else to say in an article. Most of the times, the author will press the athlete to come up with something and you'll end up getting something along the lines "I like Nike better than Adidas"

I'll ask Steve of he can get us updates on Latham and Kimbrough this week. Those guys really only speak exclusively to the Midwest guys.
