LIVE GAME THREAD: BIG Championship

  • Don't call a timeout Brett!!

  • 1st Quarter: Montee Ball 13 carries, 105 yards. Wisconsin leads 21-7.
2nd Quarter: 3 carries, 2 yards. Badgers now down 29-21.

For whatever reason Chryst is doing the same thing as last time. I hope he knows what he's doing and just setting the Spartans up in the 2nd half.

  • If you guys want to disagree with me, go right ahead, but this is what I see:

The defensive backs on this team don't know how to fundamentally play their position. The one thing that drives me absolutely crazy are the CB's. Every single play, going back to the Doereon days, they line up 10-12 yards off the LOS.They're so far behind the WR's that they can never jam anyone, letting them run free. TCU exploited that perfectly with inside slants that ran right underneath the coverage. You would think they would change things after that, but for some reason, they refuse to.

Not only that, but nobody in the secondary ever turns around to locate the football. I've never played football, but I imagine it's got to be awfully hard to play in the secondary if you don't know where the ball is.

It also seems like the linebackers don't know their assignments, especially on pass plays. They're constantly out of position.

Those things are a direct result on terrible coaching, it's completely unacceptable.

He has no idea what he's doing in these cases. However, he's remains just as arrogant as he normally is which is why nothing changes. It's the only way I can explain this continually happening without mentioning body-snatchers.

Not much he can do if players don't block and catch..

Wilson is running for his life and when he does have time, he's afraid to sit in the pocket.

    Wisconsin. Badgers.

100% agree. I like what I see out of Jean though.

  • It feels like Wisconsin is down 14+. Still a one score game. Badgers have shown they are second half team though.

    Badgers win by two touchdowns.

    Mark it down.

Not against teams with better coaches, and definitely not against MSU.

  • As far as im concerned the fact that Cousins/Nichol/Cunningham are leaving is a silver lining no matter what happens.

  • Honest question: Do you guys have faith in anyone on this coaching staff anymore? They make the same mistakes over and over again. It's so frustrating to watch this junk game after game. Where would this team be without Wilson and Ball? Would they have more than 3 wins?

  • One thing is clear the Badgers need to start recruiting D linemen that can get pressure on the QB if were not going to blitz. Cousins has plenty of time to throw the ball. Cousins is a nice QB but most QB's could pass with as much time as Cousins has tonight.

Why not blitz the house every play? UW drops 8 back and still can't cover anyone, so why not? Honestly.

Easy for you to say. I'm a Vikings fan. I have nothing left. This is my Super Bowl. Well NFC Championship I guess.

My issue is that this game is playing out the same as the first.

Doesn't even seem like the coaches watched film from their first contest.

We'll see if the staff makes any adjustments...

I totally agree with blitzing but if were not going to we need a d-line that can at least get some hurries, this is just hard to even watch

  • Can you also pose the question of what the fuck is Chryst doing with his play-calling and lack of protection changes?
