Knevel has a favorite

  • MSU offering or not offering linemen means nothing. He wasn't going to MSU anyways. Knevel was the most impressive lineman at camp according to Jon from the other site. That's good enough for me.

    My personal opinion is that we should be done with OL recruiting. 2014 is a good year for OL and we need as many DBs as we can take this year.

    Your probably right. You without question have a better eye for talent and talent development than a guy like, oh lets say Mel Kiper. Incidentally, he's got three of our players in the top 25 on his big board for the 2013 draft already. Two of the three were high school 3 stars and the other a two, next.

    Teams develop some positions better than others and ours is much better with offensive linemen than yours. Our program has a history of developing offensive linemen and most were not viewed as future stars coming out of high school. Developing someone like Knevel is something that our coaches are comfortable with (see Wagner) and apparently yours aren't. He has unmistakable size and athleticism and your coaches aren't confident that they can develop the skillset. If he were a raw cornerback, had some offers, and I was being honest, I'd probably tell him to steer clear of Wisconsin.

  • I lol'd at somebody validating an argument by using Kiper. ESPN has little credibility, and that putz is relevant one week a year. If he was any good he'd be evaluating talent for an actual team. The guy is terrible. And what does that mean for McShay...

    In all honesty, the way BB has brought along this program, and with the progressive and innovative mindset that he has, I'm not sure there's another coach in America I'd trade him for. And certainly not D'Antonio.

    He took a few timeouts because he wanted the ball back and it bit him in the ass. I'll give you that. But he's a fantastic coach and a fantastic leader of this program.
