Why does Bo give Berg and Bruiser the green light to fire away from 3 point range?

Exactly. The talent on the roster overall has not been as good as it used to be and it's showing. Right now the only player that can get a decent shot in the paint is Berggren and half the time he's out beyond the arc.

I'm a diehard Badger fan and I can't even hardly stand to watch this team play. They are unathletic and relatively poor shooters so without running an offense which creates cutters and open looks to the basket we are forced to rely on catching a hot streak. Kind of a vicious cycle, you have few athletes, you don't let the athletes you do have create, and because of that you aren't able to recruit better athletes because they don't want to play in this system so you are fighting an uphill battle.

I hope that Koenig, Brust, and Gasser play most of the minutes at guard and that Marshall and Jackson more or less disappear.

Hopefully this knocks them out of the top 4 and they get to play some more games in the Big Tourney. I know they aren't this bad.

I'll disagree with you somewhat on Gasser. He definitely doesn't create for himself and he isn't a huge scorer, but he did shoot 45% from 3 last year and shot 46% from the floor. That's pretty decent for a guard and we certainly could have used that this year.

So on one end you say Koenig won't get many minutes because he's a freshman but then talk about Brown and Hayes playing? Don't get me wrong, I don't think we have much choice but to give them some serious run given our current roster but I also believe we will have to give Koenig some run as well. Koenig is legit as a feeder and unlike Dekker he is a collegiate ready defender now. I like Gasser but at the end of the day I think Koenig is a better version of him. Again, will just say that I hope Bo lays off this must play Seniors and not Freshman BS and maybe, just maybe, we will be able to break 50 on a consistent basis.
