Just thought I would see everyones thoughts on the Foreman situation. Obviously on scout, they are extremely biased against Rivals, and on Rivals they are extreme apologists on the situation. 247 seems to be neutral ground. It is my opinion that Jon got a little ahead of himself on this one. He has been getting desperate for a story as 247 always beats him to the punch. He knew it was wrong to steal the kids thunder, but desperate times call for desperate measures. It kind of created a mess. Say he is a badger lean all you want, but it just seems like letting the kid be the one to make it official is the proper thing to do in this scenario.
The kid should have been allowed to have his moment in my opinion, but the one that really messed it up was his coach in my mind. He should have realized that his player wanted his moment and the coach should have kept his mouth shut prior to the announcement. Sucks when a kid's trust is betrayed by an adult he clearly thought he could trust.
He was set on announcing on Saturday and than moved it to Tuesday so his dad could be there. Don't think there is anything to read into this.
I respect Jon alot and I have to say I agree with OakParkBadger it's the coaches fault you can't tell a reporter a major story and expect him not to post it. I feel bad for Tyler, but its really not a huge deal IMO.
