Per sources. Sucks to lose him.
"We don't care about anything but winning. No one cares about ethical standards thats for losers..."
Can ya blame him?
PENN STATE FOREVER
Dumb decision, so yes.
I can't blame him, both programs are very similar and PSU is closer to home.
One has sanctions due to the coach letting his assistants touch minors, the other does not. Referring to our schools as similar gives me the chills, and not in a good way
Dude, come on. Let's not blame the current staff and players for the actions of people that are either dead or in prison. It's ridiculous. Bill O'Brien did nothing wrong and no current staff member had anything to do with the Sandusky scandal.
Also, this will be their second year of four with the post season ban. Vincent's freshman year will be their third. Assuming he redshirts and then gets on the field, he's really only missing one year of post season play.
I really do believe that for 2014 recruits there isn't much difference between Wisconsin and Penn State. Academics and game day experience are both excellent. PSU has slightly better facilities. Coaching is probably a wash or slightly in PSU's favor at this point. Wisconsin has a better campus, but Happy Valley is still very nice. And then there's location.
I see your point, but don't entirely agree with it. The culture there created the situation, and a lot of that culture still remains above the football staff.
Also, highly doubtful BoB is there to coach Vincent
Honestly, I don't know how to respond to the culture thing for a multitude of reasons. The fan base might be the same, who knows, but really they are just supporting their team. What really matter to me is that the entire administration was shown the door, and that happened.
In regards to coaching, I could definitely see BOB leaving for an NFL gig in the future. However, I think PSU would be able to replace him with a very good coach. Wisconsin pulled Andersen from Utah State. He's never been a HC of a BCS program before. I'm very happy he's here and I look forward to seeing his staff do work, but I do think PSU is more than capable of pulling a coach from a similar situation; I think they'd actually be capable of pulling a decent BCS coach actually. They have the money, the facilities, the fans and the recruiting territory to be very, very good.

Agree on all counts. Even if BOB is there when Vincent enrolls he won't be there Troy's entire 4 years, particularly if PSU continues to have any semblance of success.
They are still trying to fight the sanctions though, didn't they try to file a lawsuit against the NCAA? I can see both sides of this argument.
From what I understand, the Governor is fighting the sanctions, not PSU, but I definitely could be wrong.
