Just wondering who everybody sees as the top 5 in this class? I know we all saw Evans list yesterday in the chat, so I'm interested to see everyone else's. also, who does everyone think will be the surprise star? My top five would be: 1)James 2)obasih 3)wheelwright 4)ball 5)keeler. 1 and 2, for reasons that you need those anchors at outside linebacker in the 3-4, and James is a playmaker and obasih is so sound technique wise. Wheelwright is obvious that we need WR's. Hopefully he can step in right away. Ball will be the ball hawking/hard hitting safety we need I hope. Dudes a stud. And I like keeler's measurables.
My surprise star pick is Leon Jacobs. Love the guys athletism. Very excited for the defense in the future. Lots of speed coming in.
Surprise star pick Jazz Peavy @wr

1.Garret Dooley- I get pumped watching this kid play, Just seems like a can't miss type guy to me. And I think this is a guy who is going to be able to blitz like crazy out of the 3-4 if that's the direction Aranda takes us
2. Alec James
4. Jack Keeler
5. Hayden Biegel
Sleeper Matt Hubley
Wish their was more film out their on watt, washington and peavy
"We don't care about anything but winning. No one cares about ethical standards thats for losers..."
Good input Blast! My top 5:
I think Keeler has the tools to be an All B1G Lineman down the road. Shelton has good speed and instincts to be a cover or dare I say a shut down corner. Obasih and James are much needed strength and quickness off the edges and pressuring the QB was an isssue this past season. Clement will be a monster in a couple years and with Hammocks teachings the skies the limit. Jacobs is the darkhorse, lots to love with his size and speed I think he contributes right away on ST. Washington could also contribute on ST.
1. Clement - Stud
2. Dooley - ideal ILB in 3-4
3. James - ideal OLB in 3-4
4. Miller - Just like the kid. Him and Dooley just both seem like Wisconsin kids and scream "football player"
5. Biegal - His upside is off the charts. *Might* be the closest thing we've brought in to Joe Thomas. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he starts as a RS Frosh. Only knock appears to be strength, which is the most fixable trait
HM: Watt, Ramesh. Curious to see where they end up positionallly. I wish JJ would make TJ lift with him in the offseason and get him DE sized (JJ entered college at 6'5 220, TJ is 6'4 and probably a little over 200). I think a lot of our young DEs become rush OLBs. Very curious to see how Keefer, Adeyanju and Hayes fit with the new regime
4. Ball "Assuming he signs"
3. Obasih (would swith Obasih and James is it werent for the switch to a 3-4)
Damn, that is hard to pick.... There is a lot I like about the most of the other guys as well and this list is pretty interchangable if you ask me.
1b)James - we have needed lifeline on the edges
5)Watt - just think he will someday remind us of Version 1
Sleeper - Miller or Jacobs. Miller i think could turn into a real nasty round 2 guy and Jacobs is the first sign of the new breed of D.
Most forgotten - Brookins. could be special when recovered fully
Would have to agree with you on Brookins. Kid had such great speed. I'm glad he has enrolled early hopefully it will speed up recovery
The fact that i had a real hard time picking my 5 and that Ramesh wasn't on a lot of your guys' list is a really good sign. A lot of quality in this class.
