Win out with another Indiana Loss and a conference tourney championship, we deserve a Number 1 seed IMO (not saying we get it, but the champion of the number 1 conference should be a number 1 seed).
Win out and win Conference Tourney-2 seed
Win out and lose in Conference Championship game (1 win vs. top 5 in conference) 3 seed
Loss @Michigan State and early loss in Conference tourney-5 seed.
What does everyone else think? Let's get some discussion going! I'm bored around here!!
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
either way we got to get off the 5 line. The most likely scenario is lose at MSU win the rest and win at least one in the B10. Finsish top 4 in the toughest conference assures us a 4 at the lowest. I don't care about the RPI and retards like Palm. RPI is so overrated. Even if we lose our first game in the tourney i feel we should be a 4 at worst.
unfortunately I think we're locked into the 5 seed unless we win out....I don't see the committee giving a 10 loss team the 4 seed.....hope I'm wrong though....
No way Wisconsin gets a one even if they win out. Wisconsin is just not the sexy pick they(NCCA committee)wants on the one line , if Wisconsin would somehow win the big ten tittle then overnight the big ten would be overrated etc etc etc.
Finish 2-1 (losing @ MSU) and win first game in the conference tournament and I think we get a 4 seed. Even in the win-out scenario, this team isn't more than a 3 seed.
I agree with the logic of that statement, if we can play our way up to a 3, I like our chances a whole lot better. I do not want to run into Florida again and if we're on the 4/5 line, I don't see any way we avoid them. I think Duke is a really tough matchup as well on the 1, especially if they get Kelly back. I'd much rather play a Kansas/Miami and I think Georgetown would be a good matchup for us (assuming they win the Big East).
The way Bo plays (good transition D, limiting possessions) allows us to hang with anyone in the Tournament as far as I'm concerned. This team hasn't gone through a ton of offensive slumps this year as much as past years. If we keep getting the ball in the right hands and keeping it out of the wrong hands (looking at you Ryan "Rodman" Evans), we'll keep that trend going and increase our shooting. I'd love to look at our offensive efficiency statistics in the latter half of the season.
The one thing that might kill us is limited guard play. I love the way Jackson and Marshall have come on as of late, but it's also going to be their first NCAA tournament. That is where missing Gasser will hurt the most.
Winning out gives us at least three more significant wins though, including (most likely) 2 over top 5 teams in Indiana and Michigan. That I think could spring us to a 3. I do agree with most on here that a 3 is our ceiling (as unfair as that is).
You couldn't find a better word to describe Palm?
I knew they was gonna be at least one person that would take offense that the "r" word.
Somebody should tell Lance to sack up and come clean
It's a fair point.
You make it sound like I am wrong because of that
Like others have said, I think the realistic range is a 3 to a 5 seed. I think ultimately they'll end up on the 4 line.
Sweet discussion guys..
