Just got our National Signing Day numbers in and wanted to fill everyone in on the state of Badger247.
We grew by 200 percent in members since signing day of last year, making Badger247 one of the fastest growing sites in the 247sports network. National Signing Day 2013 was also our largest traffic day in the history of the site.
Now that there's a new coaching staff in place, things are going to continue to be exciting here on the site. The staff is already back at it with the 2014 class, recruiting new prospects and new areas, and we'll continue to cover that every step of the way. Also with spring practice right around the corner, it's an exciting time for Wisconsin football.
In addition to football and football recruiting, the hoops team continues to surprise and push for a Big Ten Championship. We'll be stepping up our coverage on the basketball team as well. Basketball recruiting is also at a very exciting point. Wisconsin is impressing some talented prospects this season and after signing a solid five-man class in 2013, things are looking up for Wisconsin in 2014 and 2015 recruiting.
As you all are aware, Kyle has moved on, and it's just me on the site. My goal when I signed with 247sports over the summer and even well before that was to make this the very best Wisconsin website on the internet and give subscribers more than their money's worth. Before 247sports launched, I was a lot like most you, very interested in recruiting and subscribed to these sites. So I understand this isn't an easy thing to pay and for the hardcores out there, consistent, timely recruiting news is a must.
My mission for those who subscribe here is to make it more than worth it. I know how frustrating it can be when you're paying for recruiting updates and you don't get any updates for 8-12 plus hours during the day. Like I said, I don't want this site to just be "worth it," I want it to be more than worth it for those who subscribe here.
I wouldn't be able to do it without your support and I've been very pleased with the growth of this site and we just keep getting bigger. Again, thank you all for making Badger247 a success and we'll continue to work our tails off here at Badger247 and 247sports as we continue to improve this product.

You would think that with such a devoted fanbase it wouldn't be as hard to build up these sites. No matter what the base media the Wisconsin sectors always seem to lag behind other schools. It seems like (in terms of Badger base) the competition for subscribers should not be aimed at like entities such as scout or Rivals, but rather the free fluff boards like cbs and espn. For whatever reason we seem to have a lot of fans on those.
This board has made amazing strides since its beginning. It is by far the best out there now.
Not even close at this point
I enjoy this site very much. When tied to gether with Twitter I feel that I always have the info when I want it.
I also enjoy the fact that we don't need to apologise to others that we are Recruiting Geeks, and follow our sport year around.
I am more of a hoops junkie, but have found myself caught up in the football side in a big way.
The Bigeddysprings is not a horse.
Evan, with Kyle leaving, will another writer be hired?
Evan is killing it right now. The site is worth the money. Keep making it great.
Little late to this party but just wanted to say keep up the good work Evan! You're like the Russell Wilson of UW message boards with that outstanding work ethic
