Off to a nice start. Have to laugh at the announcer who was throwing out Groce at Illinois for COY. No coach besides Tubby has done less with more. I can admire being a first year coach, but there's way too much talent to do the type of job he has and be considered for COY. Need to start taking better shots and trying to attack the zone as opposed to shooting our way out of it though.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Bruiser continuing his stellar play
Yup. He can't graduate soon enough for me. Keeps jacking long jumpers and defense seems to be regressing in a hurry
The BTN announcers are terrible. They only have to cover one conference and can't do that well.
He looked good getting blown by and dunked on too.
At least we have Ryan Evans to make him look good.
I'll miss JB, but the rest of that front court is simply awful.
Ryan Evans is a much better player than Bruisewitz. It's not even close.
You know you got a problem when we take the shot clock down so much and the guy with the ball in his hands at the end of the shot clock can't shoot and turns the ball over left and right. Not a good combination.
They pretty much can beat anyone and lose to anyone. That's what makes them so maddening.
Agreed. Like I said, need to attack the post through the middle. It seems Penn State is another one of the teams (like Michigan State) who just makes the game as ugly as possible.
If I had to quantify Izzo's strategy. "Play as ugly and chippy as possible. Get physical and make their offensive possesion as possible. When we get the ball, run as much as possible and hope we shoot well".
Penn State just doesn't have the athletes that Izzo does.
Yep. How do you go to Bloomington and beat IU and lose at home to Purdue?
Wow Bergrenn, glad to see a 5th year senior make that type of a turnover. An incredibly weak Senior frontcourt both physically and mentally.
Bruisewitz should be benched for the rest of the season.
In all fairness to MSU they always play physical against whoever they play, but they really like to get out and run. They only reall ugly up against us, but that's more because we ugly it up. I actually think MSU trying to play fast with IU cost them both times. UW gave the perfect blueprint to frustrate and beat IU and in my opinion MSU could have easily pulled it off, but they chose not to play that way.
That being said, we need JB to be successful in the Postseason. Let's hope he's ok, that didn't look good.
Looks like its just a twisted ankle. Retape it and get back in there.
He is killing us both ends. Bo should bench both him and Kaminsky just for taking 3s. Not their game so don't try. Drives me nuts.

That's a shot Dekker has to make or pass it back out to someone.
I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen more teams press or run a three quarter court trap like PSU did today. Badgers didn't look great against it and I would think a more athletic team could really cause some problems for them.
