I for one appreciate the work that our three main seniors have out in, thank you Seniors.
On the other hand, I'm excited to see what the future will bring. Koenig, Brown, and Hayes come on down!
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Wolfie, good post. After a game like that, things get forgotten. Thanks for bringing it back.
"We don't care about anything but winning. No one cares about ethical standards thats for losers..."
Yes, the seniors worked their tails off and were involved in a lot of good things here. The problems this team had were fairly evident throughout the season. The seniors on this years teams are great role players, and excellent defenders, but non of them should be more than a 3rd option offensively. Disappointing end to the season, but it was pretty clear that this team has some warts. Grittiness and defense are great, but at the end of the day you need to have the ability to put the ball in the basket. We just didn't have enough players that could consistently do it this year. What's particularly frustrating to me is that I felt the bracket was open for them this year. Oh well. Fall can't get here fast enough.

yeah, it's all on the players. bo wins, he's a genius. bo loses, the players suck and our time is coming when player X gets here. bo can never lose.
i have full confidence in bo to turn dekker and koenig into decent players. they'll play scared and sit on the bench and learn defense while the offense scores 40 points.
on a side note, greg gard needs to fired asap.
In all honesty how good with the big 10 be next year? Not like we aren't losing players too but I feel like we have a lot less talent to replace then some other teams.... MSU will be tough next year but IU loses 3-4 key players UM loses at a minimum of Burke and maybe Hardaway..... Not sure what next years Non-Conference will look like but I'm a whole lot more excited about next year then I was for this year..... Next year we may not have our normal size but we will have a lot more of athleticism
Um, not sure how you could possibly think that Dekker plays scared after today's game. Kid was a boss.
pez is about the whiniest b!tch on the Badgers boards, everything sucks about Bo according to him.
Dekker was not afraid today, but I would have liked to see him try to go to the hole a little more. Hopefully he does not settle for 3s as much next season.
Pez is a mini LL. Maybe even the same guy. Repeats the same drivel over and over.
I agree, but a lot of his threes came really late in the game and were open looks. He was 5-13 from the floor, 2-10 from deep, and at least five of those came in the last 1:30.
I also think that he will be a lot more active going to the hoop next year with Koenig to actually find him going to the rim. Koenig can straight up dish the ball, and his crossover is good enough to get by most defenders. Very excited to watch a significantly more athletic team than we've been accustomed too these past few years.

Was just thinking about that the other day, not sure what next year's squad will do, but the year after that this team should contend for a big 10 title and possibly more.

the thread isn't about today's game but about the future. where did i say that he played scared today? he will once boball gets done processing him. at the end dekker will be a 3 point jacker. thinking that the future holds anything different with bo ryan at the helm is delusional. i do hope the bo blowers right though...
i won't get personal, but some are just as good with scouting reports on hs kids as they are being bo apologists.
Go back to the Marquette board you asshat.

Somebody should tell Lance to sack up and come clean
You are a fool if you think that. Dekker will keep adding to his game each year he is here. He is too good not to. Having a legit pg will really help.
I'll assume that last part is a shot at me, so perhaps you can help me understand this bo blower vs. bo apologist thing. Because I don't think everything about Bo sucks I must be one, right? Or is it because I like some of the incoming guys? Just want to know which camp I am a part of.
Also, if everything about "boball" sucks so bad, why don't you go find a coach/program that meets your demands? Stop slumming with Bo and UW.
You have got to be the most clueless poster on this board. Good lord.
You said Dekker and Koenig will "sit on the bench and learn defense while the offense scores 40 points." That's an exact quote. You actually think Dekker will sit next year? Seriously? All credibility that you might have had at one point has gone out the window.
I don't know if you have only followed UW the past two years or if you are just too stupid to remember what Bo Ryan's teams look like when they have good athletes, but either way, you just simply are speaking bullshit right now. Being able to facilitate an offense through actual scorers, as opposed to Ryan Evans, will do wonders for opening up the offense. We have relied on the three the past two years because of our personnel. Think about it....who has actually had the ability to create offense at UW the past two years? JT was great at creating his own jump shot, but that's it; he was completely ineffective within 10 feet of the basket. That's on Bo for recruiting the way he did, but it's not his system; it's a function of missing out on his top targets for three straight recruiting cycles, save Dekker, who has shown an explosiveness off the wing that UW has not had since Tucker.
That will change, starting next year. 2014-2015 will be very fun to watch. We are bringing in legit athletes...it's going to be exciting.

go cheer for women's basketball.
Can we ban this fool? He sucks at life and he knows it.
Stop crying klobe. Dekker sat on the bench this year when he could've been used for his offense. You're blind if you deny that. Koenig will be the same because he too needs work on his defense and strength. If Dekker doesn't improve his D or strength he will also sit because bo cares more about those things than he does about winning the game when points are needed. I've been yelling for the basketball that was played when an actual offense was run. Pre-2006. But your rant is a red-herring. Nothing Bo has done for a good 5 years leads me to believe any of "we're going to be fun to watch" and "athletic" declarations. If Bo isn't so stubborn regarding certain things, you're right, 2 years down the line might be fun to watch. Like i said before, i hope it works out.
Ole, you're right. Bo Ryan walks on water.
