Sweet merciful Football Gods, the top of the division is going to be sexayyy. OSU fans should be absolutely delighted in what they should be capable of next year.
To my brethren in here who are dealing with yet another soul-crushing, last second defeat, not every season will work out as beautifully as they've been for us recently (minus the Rose Bowl ). So let's hope for a respectable finish this year with hopefully a bowl win and then think about how freaking good we should be next year.
I mean for reals, am I even overestimating these teams THAT much if I say OSU could start in the Top 3 and UW in the Top 5-10ish?
It sucks now, but I was honestly expecting a year sorta like this. Two talented teams only going to get better next year.
Science H. Logic
I know we have some loses, but UW is in everygame. I am guessing that sooner then later these breaks will turn.
No I know, I'm just pointing to the fact that the season is almost over and we're at 4 losses. In other words, we're not where people were hoping for this year.
Yea its been a weird year with all the new coaches, including 1 during the season, 3 new QB's and a pretty young team. I guess BB made it sound like there wouldn't be any problems, but there was going to be problems while everybody was meshing. After everything that happened, UW plays Neb for a chance to go to the RB, which will be pretty wild. Get to the RB, and as long as its not Ore, I like UW chances.
from a Buckeye fan, you guys played awesome today.. held ohio state to the fewest points all season.. both young squads have a bright future ahead of them! good game fella's! now go win that Rose Bowl for us!
My old buddy Roosh...you and I used to get in some trash talking last year lol but it's all good and fun. Who takes over for Montee next year, James White? You guys gonna have any big Dayne, PJ Hill, John Clay backs coming in? Those types of backs were the absolute hardest to stop behind the big O-Lines you guys have
It'll be a combination of White and Melvin Gordon. Gordon's the guy who met Shazier in the hole and then knocked the crap out of both of them.
Looks like it will be OSU and Wisky at the top for the next several years....this is becoming a great rivalry
You guys got a stud RB coming in too...Corey Clement....dude is sweet
Haven't seen too many full Wisconsin games with the Gordon dude play. I'm sure Clement might get some PT too
Gordon is probably the most talented player on the entire offensive side of the ball. He's going to be a stud.
To any OSU fan, do you see any players leaving early for the draft? Thanks
Maybe our corner Roby and Our D lineman Hankins. Both would be big loses. We have some young guys to take their spots but those shoes will be hard to fill.
Overall, We will should be better next year on both sides of the ball.
We can all look forward to another showdown between tOSU and Wisconsin for the Div. championship next year.
At least we'll have home field advantage.
Yeah ChillyBuck pretty much got it all. Simon is gone and Hankins is a definite high pick so i'm gonna count him as gone but we have 5* defensive linemen like Noah Spence and Adolphus Washington definitely taking over for their' spots and who have gotten alot of reps, also Tommy Schutt and SeVon Pittman will be playing alot. We have some young freshman studs coming in on the DL too so while we'll miss Simon and Hankins alot, we'll still be strong and deep on the D-Line. Roby's a sophomore but he's one of the best CB's in the nation and highly touted when talking about the draft so he's up in the air but I hope he comes back. Boren and Sabino...the starting linebackers will be done so we'll be real young at LB. Everyone else is pretty much coming back
Agree. At the beginning of the season I would have said it was a toss-up for those two, but I don't see any reason whatsoever why we should expect them back. Hankins is going to be a top5/10 draft pick, Roby will go in the first round--so I think they'll both be gone. Which hurts us, but I personally feel like losing Simon and Nathan Williams will be a bigger loss (those two graduating). Our defense is going to be VERY young next year.
Great game though to Wisconsin, they played us probably harder than anyone all year even without Borland. Made our offense look 1-dimensional (which no one has done to us).

Oh snap! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! Haha.
It'll be White and Gordon next year with Gordon being more of a hybrid back than Ball. He's a super freak athlete of the variety we usually don't have. Clement is probably the next thing we have close to the big fella type you mentioned.
