Since it's the offseason and we don't have anything better to talk about....
Coach K will be stepping down as National coach of the USA basketball team. Personally, I think Coach K was the best option.
However, if you were the head of the committee, who would you pick as your next coach. I would say pick your worst coach, but it's just another opportunity to hate on Tan Tommy (which granted, who doesn't love that?). If this thread really gets going, I'd say name a college and an NBA coach.
I would love to say Bo, but he's a terrible match with NBA players imo. I hate to say it, but I think Izzo would be a good match.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
College coach- Izzo
NBA coach- Gregg Popovich
Re: Bo... Every NBA all-star would laugh at the idea of running the swing offense.

Pop or George Karl from NBA
Izzo or Billy Donovan from college....
Sorry I stole 2 of yours wlowry!!
George Karl destroyed the Bucks. F him.
Agree on both. I think Popovich is still under rated even with all his accolades because he's been coaching in San Antonio. Also, wasn't he on Coach Ks staff for the Olympics, or am I imagining that?
Karl certainly didn't help, but there were a lot of things that destroyed the Bucks. I would add signing Tim Thomas to a ridiculous contract, signing Anthony Mason, and trading Ray Allen would at least as big of issues as Karl's abrasiveness.
if you say that because he pushed to sign Anthony Mason, then I concur......he was a 5 ft Big Dog jumper away from the NBA finals......not too shabby with the crew he had to deal with.........
Phil Jackson would be ideal. Other than Phil I like Jerry Sloan or Popovich. I don't think there are too many college coaches outside of Coach K that could go in and be succesful coaching a team of NBA All Stars.
