Looks like the Petersen rumors, although likely if not surely incorrect regarding Petersen being on campus today, seem to have some legs. Sources say Petersen could be interviewed as early as Monday... Let's hope that is true!!!
Re: Petersen and his "fit" with Wisconsin football. I don't think anyone would consider turning down the winningest coach in the BCS due to scheme. Petersen would bring a dynamic offense and would have the added benefit of UW's Oline and RB tradition. Throw in a BCS level defense and he would give Urban and Brady a run every year.
Do I believe CP will end up in Madison? Nope, but it sure doesn't hurt that he is potentially interviewing for the position. I'll just keep that hope subdued until it either is debunked or more comes from it... such as an interview.
Wisconsin Badgers football
twitters say no go here...on peterson. but who the hell knows????? all of this rhetoric means nothing really i guess

"When I get said, I stop being said and be awesome again. True Story." - Barney Stinson
That was debunked quickly! Wonder if Petersen is staying quiet about interviewing, or if the UW source for TGP and Mulhern where speculating or hoping.
Peterson can leverage the UW interest into a new contract at Boise. BA did it very well as a coach.
I doubt he needs to leverage the Wisconsin interest. Petersen literally have at least 5-10 programs every year that is willing to offer him.
To be clear though, there is no way he has any interest in this job nor is he interviewing.
Truthfully it is a perfect fit for him. Step up and not the pressure cooker that normally comes with it. He likes what he has going and I am sure the last he wants to do is get into a situation where he could fail so everyone can call him a fraud. This situtuation is very unique in that he could take a step up into something that is not broken. Upgrade in every facet with maybe one exception. Admissions. He has made a living off of kids that may not get into here. Then again recruiting to Madison may erase the need for that. If I were him I would rather take the leap to Madison than say a place like knoxsville right now.
Didn't Golden when 1st hired, have a guy call up recruits to be in a spot that the coaches where going to be at, so they would run into each other? Have they ever figured out if that happened or is that still down the line?
Going to be extremely difficult to ever get Peterson out of Boise. The one job that I think he would leave for would be Oregon. Other than that I really don't see him leaving.

He's getting interviewed Monday so obviously he must be interested.
Allegedly. I do not buy it tbh.
"We don't care about anything but winning. No one cares about ethical standards thats for losers..."
This should be an interesting process. Obviously Golden or Peterson would be a home run, but lots of names out there.
I also wonder if Barry is willing to let the program be in someone elses hands totally.

Why is everybody giving us zero chance for petereson? I know he has been rumored for many job openings but did he ever actually interview for them? I think we make sense in a lot of ways, not everybody wants $$$ and 24/7 media attention
