talk about an exaggeration. SMH.
By the way, if you are referring to the ask.me app, thats what kids do. Adults are asking him tons of questions so he responds. It's not a big deal. Twitter is a great source of interaction between celebrities, journalists, civilians, fans, etc. I'm not sure why you are making it out to be a big deal. If you don't like that he responds to people on twitter, then maybe you should convince the whole world to not use twitter as a news source.
I don't care what he does. And you're the one starting this argument, just let it go. Thread isn't about Twitter it's about ignorant comments people make about UW.
Sorry, the argument was confusing that you werent bashing twitter when you were calling his recruitment a circus and saying that he shouldnt be answering questions on twitter. I had no idea your posts were about people making dumb comments about Wisconsin. I may have overreacted. It just gets on my nerve when people don't understand the twitter platform and make blanket statements on it.

One of you Twitter followers get on there and remind DJ that BC is a Jesuit Catholic organization. We all know what happened with the Catholic Church over the past decades?
They want to get dirty, let's play.
I see we have a front runner for DAPOTY (Dumbass post of the year). Ill try to make sure this doesnt get derailed as a religious thread, but this needs to be addressed. BC is in no way responsible for what happened in regards to that. On top of that, ya wanna take a guess as to what your new head coach's practicing religion is?
Finally, 95% of kids aren't going to buy this crap that others spew. Time and time again we get the kids who are smart and see through the BS and this case is no different. I originally posted because I thought it would breed interesting discussion, not threats.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Most of the racial makeup is due to demographics. A team like Wisconsin is likely going to be "whiter" than a team near Atlanta or in Florida.
The race argument is over though in sports. Maybe in some areas race is still an issue, but I think sports is the one area where African Americans have gotten equality and in some ways maybe have become even greater. What I mean is notice how some guys get bashed in sports for being the "slow white kid", even if they are not that. I would have said race does come into play in politics, but Obama kinda debunked a lot of that theory.
The group that is still discriminated in sports is the LGBTQ community. Fair or not, to be a gay man in a lockerroom would be a tough situation.
Just my 2 cents.
Fair post in all respects if you ask me.
Nice ass 99.
How is race still relevant in today's sports? The only argument that has any relevance is that there are not a ton of non-caucasian QBs.
Is race still an issue in some parts of society? Sure, it probably always will be. That said I think its usually just an excuse now when people pull the race card. This is 2013, not the 1960s.
Also, notice how teams like Bama, Ole Miss, etc do have a higher % of black athletes than say Wisconsin or some of the far north schools. Yet, Mississippi and Alabama were regarded as maybe two of the most racists states in the US and were the heart of the confederacy. If there is any place that race would be a major issue its in those schools of the deep south.
Sorry, but this argument is just dumb. Every team in the NCAA has plenty of diversity. If this was 40+ years ago this would be a valid point. Today though it just sounds stupid.
This thread gets worse by the day.
