Let's clear some stuff up. First of all big 10 no one owes you anything and there is nothing in it for lsu to throw away a game at lambeau. 1 an lsu game in the south is worth big time money to the school and traveling to a so called neutral site to lose money is just doing Wisconsin a favor and doing nothing for us. You call us pussies but the fact is we are king of the mountain right now and we don't have to prove anything to anyone. You however need want that game on your schedule. You need lsu lsu does not need you in the least. We have national exposure if we Are to agree to a game it will be under our terms because you want to play us. Dont make the mistake and think that we have to prove something by coming up there to play you. Look at it like this the big guy doesn't go pick fights the little guy comes to take a shot at chopping them down
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
That one hurt right in the ol' grammar.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
So is there more in it for you to go to West Virginia or Washington at their places than to play Wisconsin at Lambeau?? BS. That game would be huge nationally. Saying there's nothing in it for you while still going to play other games where there's far less in it for you just means that your program believes there's a good chance you'd come out of Lambeau with a loss. Period. And that's OK - like you said, you guys don't need that game to prove anything. But you've got to own that reality.
What Wisky fans don't understand about the situation is LSU is trying to fill a slot that opened in their schedule for 2014 when TCU pulled out of a home and home series. The opening game against TCU in Dallas this year was a concession to TCU pulling out of the h and h. For Wisky to get a h and h, 2021 or 2022 would be the first chance for such to occur.
I have fond memories of the Wisky/LSU h and h in the early '70s. Sat by Wisky fans...anyone remember "Ru-Ru-Rufus"?

Curtis- well that definately sheds new light into this situation. I don't want to wait that long for a return game. I'm better off passing on this game and having Barry go after some other team that can get the return game or that will play in lambeau.
While Lambeau might have the "intrigue", I would personally prefer the game to be played at Camp Randall. Haven't made a game there yet, have watched the Packers in Lambeau. Was too young in the '70s to go to Madison for that game.
Ever heard of a logical leap? You're quite good at them.
If they had to wait until 2020 or 2021 for the return neutral site game at Lambeau I'd be fine as long as there is a decent buy out so if they decide to bail we at least get something out of it.
They? What are you implying? We haven't bailed out on anyone. In fact, Virginia Tech bailed on us in 2003 then tried to bail on us again in 2007. TCU didn't want to complete a home-and-home so they asked for the neutral site game this year (which we were happy to take).
"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life." - Former LSU Coach and AD Paul Dietzel
I don't think he's saying you are going to bail, only that 2021 is a long ways off, so he'd want there to be a buyout just in case, so that we are getting a return on our investment of coming down to Houston so much sooner. Nothing more to it, just that the contract has to hold for a much longer time than normal.
"We don't care about anything but winning. No one cares about ethical standards thats for losers..."
Fair enough. For the record, I have said in at least 2 other threads with Wisconsin fans that I would love a home-and-home or a "neutral site-neutral site" series.
The underlying issue is that our athletic department views Houston as a better game for the LSU program (and rightfully so) and has seen Wisconsin beginning to cave on the idea. Someone please point out, from a business perspective, why LSU would go to Lambeau over Houston? It would be cool to do but it benefits the program more (i.e. alumni & recruiting in Houston), it's cheaper for LSU to attend (i.e. less travel), and it is much closer to home.
Having said that, calling LSU names, though it may make some people feel better but is still really immature, is not going to change anything.
I never said that LSU should cave and only play the game in Green Bay. Like almost everyone here, I just want a home and home or a neutral site for neutral site. Yes, LSU is a better program than us and they obviously have the upper hand in this whole thing, but that doesn't mean we should just do whatever they want.
i think both sets of fans would love the home and home, and I don't think any of us fans accussed you guys of being afraid of that. Any good football fan would love the opportunity to sample different slices of CFB tradition, especially when we are talking of two in this case that have a high regard. As a fan going to reliant doesn't excite me all that much.
Our beef is not with LSU and is more with the SEC. There are some stereotypes in terms of scheduling that are representative of the truth. Like i said before it is more about what schools like us let you guys do. If schools like us stopped saying yes the approach would have to change. What do we gain from going to Houston and getting killed? nothing. Our only gain is to win a "Neutral game" in an area we don't really recruit anymore. I would rather do a home and home with someone like Oregon at that point. As a fan I would rather travel to BR and I am sure you would rather go to Madison.
Once again last week came another report of a game.....would they please make up their minds; both LSU and Wisconsin
