Wisconsin does not make the cut. Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Michigan State.
Ugh, that sucks. But I guess it makes sense. MSU puts all those OL into the pros and Wisconsin never does.
"Earlier I said [Madison's] the greatest college town on Earth... It's a universally accepted fact." Scott Van Pelt, 2/25/2014
Always felt like he was a Buckeye anyway, but thought we'd make the final 4 over MSU. Oh well.
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."
Good to know now so we don't have to waste more time.
Sucks, but oh well. This gives us a chance to focus on other recruits.
NO Worries! I'm glad to know of his final list on May 5th, vs Jan 5th 2014. Now we can focus our energies on top linemen, which we desperately need to stock up on. There are plenty of recruits who will gladly open their doors to the Badger coaches and get a chance to show them all of our current NFL'ers. This has been one of the most interesting recruiting years for WI that I can remember in many.
Time to offer ragnow.
I agree with pushing Ragnow....Better to know we are out now rather than late
I'd be curious to know if recruits still view the UW as o-line university or if that tradition is, for the moment, dead with all of the recent coaching changes. Offensive line recruiting needs to pick up in a big way.
Gault and Panos are huge along with Keeler in the next class. Not sure that the recruiting has to pick up all that much.
I agree that TJ Woods and company have some work to do to maintain the OL rep, but I don't think recruiting is a big concern.
Fair or not, I am guessing that teams are using it against UW when recruiting against them. Until woods gets a UW guy in the NFL, It will be used against UW. Like I said, it might not be fair, but teams looking for that edge can use it. It would be nice if Groy makes a huge jump and get not only picked, but if he could get in the first 3 rounds, it would help with UW saying things are still the same at lineman U.
If you follow Jones on twitter he had taken on an MSU vibe lately. Seems to like them. But better in this case to finish fifth than fourth.
