Figured you might want to take a look.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
You're (a) starting an internet fight with (b) people who are so far into the fringes of fanaticism that they visit message boards about (c) an entirely subjective topic. Add that these same people are fans of programs that have shown they consistently put winning above principles, and what do you expect?
This is the exact same reason that they come to our site to troll us.
They're complaining about the supposed hubris of our coach and how annoying he is, and instead of letting it die on the vine, you, as the sole representative of our fanbase in said discussion, basically echo the validity of the SAME SENTIMENT that they're complaining about, which only exacerbates the situation further.
You would be better off (a) ignoring them or (b) if you must wade into that cesspool, disarm their presumptions by being humble, positive, etc. You, instead, basically went in there and said, "oh yeah? well fuck you!" (or, more precisely "Take your asterisk and shove it Sandusky-Style.")
Seriously: don't feed the trolls.
You think it's a game but all it really does is drop the lowest common denominator of what is generally accepted behavior on THIS board every time we have a game with these fools.
What i find funny in all of this is that the two most hated coaches in B10 are BB and Bo. Mind you that is a conference with Meyer, Hoke, Izzo, Matta, and Crean. Not to say that BB or Bo are perfect, but i just find it comical that the same thing they seem to hate these coaches for are the same things these guys do if not worse. Whether it be whinning, chest thumping, or just being fat (Hoke). Not to mention just being supsected or proven cheaters.
Just goes to show you people can get used to us winning.
I also find it comical that the #1 take away from the game for every non-UW fan is "Wow the B10 sucks" or we didn't deserve to be there.
You can ignore my trolling. I guess the main point of why I posted was not to post a transcript of my half-assed argument skills/trolling, but to post how others view BB and our team. Just found it interesting. I could give two poops as to what other fans think of our fanbase because with the more success the Badgers have, the more fanbases that were successful will not like the Badgers.
Agreed, I get BB just because he is pompous and can put his foot in his mouth. However, I could argue that if we don't win the last three Rose Bowls, BB would not be hated as much as he is right now. It's the unknowledgable onlooker that hates BB (Gus Johnson trying to bring up BB running up the score as if it's an everyday occurence). I'd argue it's more the success than the behavior.
The reason why they are hated is because they both win and they do it by not cutting corners. They don't understand how 4 and 5 star players lose to a team that don't get those players. They don't understand what a Wisconsin kid is all about. They can't get how a team that runs the ball so much, can have so much success. They wonder why they keep winning when they never show highlights on ESPN of UW. UW will win ugly, while they say "I would rather lose then play like that".
You will never hear them complain about lower in the standings schools, because they don't threatin them. I could care less what they say about UW because I love being a Badger fan and are proud of the kids they bring into the system. They do it the right way, but if the others don't get it, thats fine with me. Opinions are like arm pits. Everybody has them, and most of the time they stink.

at the end of the day i don't care what idoit MB posters have to say, because they will always unaccountable and faceless. I just hate it when the media plays into it. How everyone was up in arms when we score a lot of points for example.
The funny thing the only way we let off the gas is to start throwing the ball, but that would be like running 20 fake punts in a row for the media.
Really? Downvote? Did i kick your dog?
Sorry, but I don't think it adds to the convo. That's the point right?
