After his visit to Iowa State. They really have an inferiority complex out west.

@Elmore2014 Nebraska's record vs Iowa St is 86-17. Come play for championships in Nebraska's dynamic offense! #GBR

@12dcvf @aWei_o5 @UN_Lincoln expecting me to go to college based off of national titles is kind of an unreal expectation.
Ugh at least Elmore fired back.
I can't stand when this happens on Twitter. Have you ever seen the Twitter of Mike Edwards? He must get 50-100 Kentucky fans every day harassing me. That's one I would love to steal just to teach that fan base a lesson.
Kentucky is the worst but if the player likes it then it's a huge advantage for them. Wisconsin fans are just plain weak on twitter. Need to step up we're recruiting against a school whose fans are active on twitter. LaRubbio is a good example.
Really? Bashing Wisconsin? Talk about a short term memory...
UNL=douchebags UK REAL douchebags
We don't need to do anything. I think it's pathetic that people try and influence a decision for a 17-18 year old kid on Twitter. IMO fans like Kentucky's go as hard as they do on Twitter, because they have to. They're irrelevant in college football. If a kid is going to choose a school based on who shows him the most love on Twitter then good riddance.
If a kid is going to base his decision on twitter followers and not what the coaches have to say, is going to tell alot about the kid.
I'm with you. Sorry, but it's pitiful to tweet at a 17 or 18 year old begging them to come to a school. Just screams of desperation. I know some kids are all about it, but if a kid makes a college choice based on how many times he gets tweeted by a fan base then good riddance. I'd rather have a kid with priorities that are actually important like self improvement, perseverance, desire to be the best etc.
Agree with you all. Not our job to recruit. Well I guess cheering for UW at the camp can be considered. But stalking on twitter is a little over the top.
As much as I cringe at the thought, I don't have anything against someone tweeting a recruit ONCE to let them know we would love to have them at UW. Do I think it matters? No.
However, I do think if a kid is harassed by a particular fan base it could have negative consequences.
I choose to stay silent because I am not comfortable with the idea of tweeting someone else's kid.

Would you have taken Alex Collins? Would you take Joe Mixon?
It's not about picking a school based on twitter followers. I think it's seen as an indication of how rabid the fan base is about the program. And that is just one aspect of the decision and one that UW fans think favors UW in many cases. But I'd bet money that, having never between to a UW game, Stanton Truitt and Jarrett LaRubbio (among others) believe that Kentucky's fans are more excited about their program than UW's right now.
Ok so get them to a game... end of story. Just because a lot of fans tweet at you doesn't mean they're all at the game. We sell out every game. So lets do it the RIGHT way and get them to a game. If they base their decision on TWATTER then they aren't Badger material.
If a recruit is going to paint houses to get money to come for a visit like Collins did, that is going to say more about the kid then twitter. If a kid doesn't know about the UW game day, and think UK is better, thats a road maybe to long to climb. After the Dwyer 3 came for the OSU game, and even though UW didn't any of them, it showed other big time players night games in Mad town is a show you want to take in. Its why the coaches believe just a visit for a game can change recruits mind. Now I guess there are going to be recruits coming to games that aren't going to play for UW, but want to see the show. I am fine with that. Twitter will never compare to a game day.
Tweeting high school kids is for losers.
It's creepy and desperate, but the majority of high school kids could care less and just like the attention. It's just an ego booster and I genuinely believe something needs to be done about it.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Man are you going to be blasted on the twat board. They should get Triumph the insult comic dog to interview them.
does Elmore have new leader?
