Needs to get a hard look from the Wisconsin staff right?
i doubt he fits. He needs to check out UK.
He could be a fit. GA seems to be looking at a lot of athletic pro style QBs. Kiel runs pretty well.
I'm guessing he ends up at Indiana though. In state school, he initially committed there and I'm sure the Hoosiers would welcome him with open arms.

I figured you were being facetious based on the old staff and their history of transfers but it won't happen... He has to sit out a year, and of the 3 realistic options QB to win the job this year, they will have at least 2-3 years left after the fall.

Don't VIP your answers you guys.I'm a friendly neighbor from the south who has family who went to your fine school. I just wanted some input on the situation and I know it's very early as he just decided to transfer, but Wisconsin seems to be the place where transfers come to flourish.
I am,somewhat lost here. kiel is at nd right? Why would he transfer?
Somebody should tell Lance to sack up and come clean
He is the same year as Golson who beat him out for the starting spot this year. I'm guessing he just didn't think he was going to get any PT.
I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. Seems to have some sort of issue
Pretty much announced this week that he's leaving Notre Dame. Kid seems like he might be a huge hassle for the amount of talent he provides. He committed to Indiana, then backed out and gave LSU a verbal commitment that lasted 1 day in which he changed his mind and picked Notre Dame. Now he's leaving ND because he doesn't think he'll get enough playing time.
He wants to come in and play right away. There aren't many places that will give him that guarantee as a transfer student who hasn't proven anything at the college level. He already redshirted, so any transfer would mean sitting out a year and would be a sophomore when he's eligible to play.
And if the good Lord’s willin’,
I’m a keep on chillin’,
refillin’ and flyin’ high
I don't see it happening. I would think he goes to a school where he knows he will play after sitting a year. Who knows, maybe he goes the JUCO rout to avoid sitting this year?
How good could he be if he couldn't get any playing time last year? Golson isn't exactly RG3.
He really does have very little "chest" as Les Miles would say, and the fact that he won't stick out spring ball to see where he lines up is proof of that... He wants to be handed the job like he has been his whole life, and I'll give a big "no thank you" on that from my quarterback.
And for all his high school hype, there are questions of just how talented he actually is.
At first I thought about it and kind of liked the idea, but the more I think about it I think its a bad idea. For starters, he hasn't proved himself at all, at any form of collegiate football level. Secondly, there does seem to be an issue. Very little commitment it seems, and questionable work ethic/willing to earn the job.
My bet is he goes JUCO or a MAC school. While he may be a hassle, a small crummy MAC school should be willing to take that chance to actually possibly have a few good seasons should Kiel live up to even some of his potential.
In other words, good teams will say no. But a school like say New Mexico, Idaho, Easter Michigan, etc, etc, might take the chance.
Here's the rundown of everything you need to know on this topic...
Quarterback Gunner Kiel is on the move again, opting to transfer from Notre Dame after redshirting last season. Kiel's travails are well documented.
I'd suggest Cincinnati Him and Howard Wilder would be perfect roomies
Yeah, but since Kiel would have to sit out a year, they wouldn't even get to play together since Wilder is going to the NFL after this year.
