If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Ball tweeted, "Danny o brien just messaged me this.. 'let's do this'... it shall be done then my man. #wiscONsin."
i've said from the beginning and i'll continue saying: best get of the class.
He's a player. I wish the film had more defensive highlights because I don't really care how good of a running back he is, but at least it shows he's got decent athleticism I guess.
His run stopping instincts are a lot better than his pass coverage in open space. You can watch a replay of the state championship game on ESPN360 instead of hand picked highlights. He isn't rated higher because he is raw in some areas. I don't see him as an outside linebacker. IMO he will likely end up as an inside linebacker or FB.
I was of the same mindset. I thought ...Oh no . Glad to see that he is ok with us.
From what I saw from a couple of games (replayed of games) from his senior season, he struggles at picking up speedy RBs out of the backfield on pass coverage. His first step is slow (slower reaction when in space than blitzing) and turns his head a lot when in space to see what is going on around him instead of the natural instinctive feel that is needed to be an elite linebacker.
I would grade his linebacker play as a mid three star and his potential FB skills as a strong 4 star (doesn't have the speed for a college TB at the BCS level).
Obviously it will be up to the new coaching staff if they play him as an ILB or see how we does on offense. As it stands right now, there are a few positions that severely lack depth after the 2014 season and LB is one of those positions.
