For the HC vacancy. I don't know how to feel about it...
"We don't care about anything but winning. No one cares about ethical standards thats for losers..."
BB will never coach in the SEC. BB has ethics and likes to do things the right way, none of that is in the SEC. I'll take it as that means we have a good coach here and I'm glad we have him. Only morons want BB gone.
Ball tweeted, "Danny o brien just messaged me this.. 'let's do this'... it shall be done then my man. #wiscONsin."
Well they better pay him though.... His salary relative to success puts him at risk to jump if he wants.
I bet he'd like it a whole lot more if he's actually a part of the league...I have never been under the impression that BB is some saint...
Spent too much time building this team. Continually raves about next year's squad. Has the complete support of the AD who hand picked him while they were coaching together. He's not going anywhere.
What exactly do you not feel about it? BB is the best thing going for Badger sports. Hope (and think he will) he retires here.
Also, there is a reason Tennessee is trying to get everyone, and can't land anyone. It's not an easy job. 3 top-10 teams in their division alone, and a fan base that wants and expects to win right away... More likely to get fired after 3 years than win an SEC title.
BB is 5th in the league in coaching salary, so I would say he's due for a raise.
Bret has made comments about the SEC, and not good ones either. I don't know if there is a job out there that he would switch to, but if there is I doubt it would be in the SEC.
Tennessee officials are in Stillwater, OK. Mike Gundy picked them up from the airport.

no chance. Bret isn't going anywhere.
Best thing that could come out of this situation is this dragging out awhile longer, and Jimbo jumping ship to Tennessee. Then hopefully FSU brings in someone Alex Collins doesn't want to play for and he decides to come North.
So does Jimbo have any ties to Tennessee? I really wouldn't understand this move from his perspective. I know Tennessee is in the SEC but by every other measure FSU is the better job. Even if the ACC gets torn apart FSU will be fine. Not to mention does anyone really think Tennessee can throw money at him that is significantly more than what FSU can pay him? I doubt it. He's just using them to get s raise from FSU in my mind.
BB has a job at UW that I believe he is enjoying and will stay as long as he sees progress in his team toward competing for a National Championship. And as long as he feels he has the support of his Athletic director. He also appears to have strong ties to his family in NW ILL. IMO he will stay close to his family. Once that tie no longer exists then he may be more willing to move.
Factors that IMO may create an environment for him to leave are the following:
1. Parents no longer living
2. A new Athletic Director that he does not have a good relationship with.
3. Believing that the only way to win a National Championship is to go to a school closer to the top recruits.
4. How high on his personal list of goals is the desire to win a National Championship and how long will he work towards that goal at UW.
5. How strong are his ties to Iowa if Ferentz was to leave.
IMO opinion it would take a school in the SEC, Texas, USC, or a couple of ACC schools
Just think its kind of humorous that all season we have kind of been on his back saying how bad he is but then when this topic comes around we all want him to stay... And I can honestly say I've been one of those people riding him at times but I actually do think he is a good coach... And the recruits we have been getting is simple un Wisconsin like.... I love the way we have been progressing and I think he doesnt get as much credit as he should coming off a season where he lost 6 coaches and went through 3 starting QB's. He loves it here in Wisconsin and is growing something special.... Just dont see him leaving anytime soon especially sine its weird to think other schools are that high on him sicne he's pegged as one of the worst time-clock managers of all-time lol.
Birdman, yea he wants to build something special here, and do it in a way that says the good guys can do it the right way and win.
Birdman, I'd also add to what at home said by saying there is only a small, but often loud minority that actually wants BB fired. Sure he has issues, but anyone with general football knowledge would find the concept of getting rid of BB insane. Now, if he doesn't win a 4th Big Ten Championship and MNC next year with his best team ever, then we can talk about letting him go!
Sorry, how could I forget Notre Dame LOL.
Johnny I still will doubt it.
+1 to you sir
