You guys know the drill: give the rest of the conference the heads up on your coaching staff, then rank the coaching staffs 1-12.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

  • Someone please get in there and defend us. I'm sorry, but we aren't 8 or below. You can throw my ranking out too.
    1. OSU
    2. MSU
    3. UM
    4. PSU
    5. Nebby
    6. UW (could be as high as 2). Capability for elite defense with Aranda, offense is never going to be as good as Chryst with Ludwig around. Hammock is an NFL talent RB coach. Excellent recruiters, time will tell with this but at this point, I'd take our staff over everyone but the top four and 5 is a wash.
    7. Northwestern
    8. Iowa
    9 Minny
    10. Indiana
    11 Purdue
    12. Illinois

If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting

  • It's hard for people outside our UW circle to rank our staff higher simply because they haven't coached a game yet. Time will tell.

  • Exactly. I think its 100% fair to question if GA will be able to replicate his success at Utah State in Madison. The WAC and B1G are totally different animals. I think he will be wildly successful here, but its completely reasonable to wonder if he will be or not.

    On, Wisconsin!

  • So you're tellin me even without having played a game, you'd take Kills staff or Indianas staff at Wisconsin over what we have right now? I don't believe thAt..

  • I think Andersen will be very successful and its likely BA hit a home run with this hire. At the same time he still has a hell of a lot to prove, especially when looking at him from an outsider's perspective without cardinal and white glasses. I just said it's completely fair to question or be unsure if he was a good hire or not. There still aren't any results to base anything off of, other than 7 months of recruiting.

  • A lot to prove sure but Indiana and Minnesota have combined for what about 15 wins combined over the last two years. Anderson had that alone at USU. I don't think these posters could legitimately say they would take those staffs over ours given the choice.

  • I'll give you IU because Wilson has little head coaching experience, but Jerry Kill has been a head coach since 1994 and overall has had a great deal of success compared to Andersen that has a career record of 30-31 and has only been a head coach for one year at Southern Utah and four years at Utah State. I wouldn't trade Andersen and his staff for Kill and his staff because Andersen and his staff have more upside, but I don't think it's out of line to say Kill has accomplished more as a head coach and is far more experienced. We'll see what Andersen and his staff can prove in the coming years.
