On another site a poster stated he had sources that indicated JA is close to going pro. Evan, any comment?

dont scare me like that. I dont buy it.
Here's my comment.... Shit!!!!
I agree it wouldn't make sense. He had some drops that hurt and he needs to get stronger.I was disappointed he didn't add to his frame before this season. He WILL need to do that to be a pro receiver. The discussion was on BUCKYVILLE if any one is interested.
We need JA for next year unless the new WR coach works wonders on our current roster.
Do I.Williams and M.Mason move on?? Both are buried on the depth chart.
Whatever he chooses , I will wish him luck. The guy work hard from being a walk on to a starting receiver and a very good returner. Whatever he does, its his choice.
Would've been nice to bring in Tyler Boyd with some immediate playing time available. Committed to Pitt today.
Best of luck to Abby, he'll find his way into a role in the pros, just wish he stayed in his role here.

Talk about a guy we can't replace! Do we even have another average WR on the roster?
Didn't Abby not get a scholarship until fairly late in his career? He might have a decent amount of loan debt and wants to make some money
If Abby is going pro, he is getting bad advice. PJ Hill got bad advice to go pro early and it backfired. And PJ Hill had John Clay pushing him from behind. Abby has no underclassmen giving him heat for playing time.
This would have extreme downside risk IMO. He might have visions of round 2 but he could easily slip to the 5th with his slight stature, minimal yards after contact and modest ability to win contested balls. This would be bad for us but could be even worse for him.
+1 Kilgore. With better QB play next year he would be a higher value.
About the only worse decision would be deciding to get married while you're a college football star. I kid, I kid (sort of).
I love the guy - he's my favorite Badger - so for his sake I REALLY hope whatever his decision is worksout for the best for him.
Stave has prob been in his ear all week after JA ruined Stave's pretty special Rose Bowl stat line with that embarrassing drop.
