Cp would be sweet. Doesn't sound likely tho.

"When I get said, I stop being said and be awesome again. True Story." - Barney Stinson
As much as I love PC, I see why he may not be BA's first choice. Has Golden been dismissed from consideration??
Kyle... who did 247 talk to, to confirm CP being the top choice?
Agree dustelli. Will not be surprised if it is j Rudolph.
I've been saying since Tuesday Golden should be the guy and I predict he will be hired by the end of next week. Outstanding guy with high character who can recruit and will run a pro style offense. Add his connections to Florida after being at Miami for 2 seasons and this just makes sense.
Let's get it done.
Golden sounds like a good fit.
Sounds like we got a shot w/ CP. How many past programs that went after him can say that? BA is a very good face to face speaker hopefully he can make some impressions. I think I would like Tucker over Golden, Golden hasn't exactly torn it up in the ACC since he's been there
I know downplaying expectations is prudent.
Its certainly understandible.
Krumrie,Rudolph,Golden, Bevel, Petersen.
In no order, plus's and minus's for each. I'd be happy with whomever Barry chooses
and who chooses us.
The Bigeddysprings is not a horse.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Tucker is my guy. Has been all along. He's a Big 10 guy, a defensive minded coach. I've been watching him since he was with OSU.
After him, Peterson or Golden. I still think Golden wants to get out of town before the police show up.
no one's doubting that Petersen is high on the board. I just don't see the interest being reciprocated. It's one thing to have one-sided leaks about UW wanting Petersen, and another if he actually interviews, not listens to a sales pitch, but interviews.
Golden & Petersen are my top 2. Both are very good, maybe great coaches. I also think both are definitely better than Bielema. I'd be happy with either. It remains to be seen if either or both of these 2 guys have any interest in UW however. If they do Barry needs to hop on it and get to work.
After that, I'd go Mel Tucker. Young guy, NFL mind. Played at UW and I think would have good energy.
Then Joe Rudolph. Former Badger player/coach, good recruiter. A bit of a risk, but could pay off.
Bevell I'm not sure. He has some good qualities, but from what I have read he is a really quiet guy that is much better suited for being a coordinator, and is maybe a better fit int he pros. He sounds like a guy who just sits in the box & calls plays. I would prefer maybe a different personality as my HC. It wouldn't be an awful hire, but I would have him behind the other guys on this list.
Golden I really like because he is a B1G guy. He played & coached at PSU, and built an awful crappy Temple program to respectability. He then went to Miami, and he has recruited great down there despite really being a crappy team for the past few years.
What makes Golden attractive, even more so than Petersen in some ways, is his variety. I like how he has coached at different places, including the Big 10, done well, and has coached at differing levels of D1 football. He has built a crappy program, but also knows how a top dog program works as well.
Who knows if they are even interested, but Golden & Petersen would be great hires.
