This what to me doesn't make sense to me. If he really wants Peterson, he would have people find out what CP thinks about USC. I would believe that if its between UW and USC, if CP does want to leave Boise, UW will take 2nd place in that race. USC is a dream job for alot of people. If Hayden is tired of Kiffen, Kiffen would be gone tomorrow and Hayden would have his phone ringing off the hook with coaches wanting that job.

Would part of the interview process allow for Petersen to meet the players? See what they look like in practice?

I completely agree about Chris Petersen. I would be completely shocked also. There are some things that make me somewhat optimistic and timing might be right for him to leave.

1.) Lifestyle... I lived in Yuba City, CA (northern CA.) for a few years, it is much like a midwest town, agriculture drives the economy, orchards are everywhere. From what I have heard of CP, it doesn't seem like a "big city" type of guy. Madison is more his type vs LA. or even Florida. I don't think the "glitz" and bright lights of some of these big time schools really does much for him.

2.) Playoff... If he truly wants to compete for a NC, he will have to make a change to one of the big conferences. Winning the Big East won't be enough.

3.) Interview... He is interviewing for the job. Why waste your time if you don't want the job. There has to be some interest. He doesn't seem to be a guy that would interview just to interview and see what he is worth.

Just my thoughts that keep me optimistic.

Do you guys think Barry will use that $217,000 hes making for coaching this game and divide it up for the assistants?

Well Boise states bowl game is the 22nd of December, so we would know after that if he will be our coach.

This will kind of be easy to know if he accepts the job. If Barry interviews more people next week it will likely be because Chris won't be joining us. If he does not interview anyone else this week you'd have to think he accepted.

Petersen is a current head coach and under contract, Urban wasn't coaching.

Yes but they must get NCAA approval first.

Do you believe the interview will take place tomorrow morning so Petersen could return to Boise for practice in the afternoon?
