Will retire from pro hockey after his devastation head injury. Really tough break for the former Hobey Baker winner. Probably the right life decision, but had a promising future. Hopefully he gets into coaching. Wouldn't mind seeing him back in Madison.

Wow, that's tough, but that injury was pretty ugly. Wish him the best and hopefully a return to Madison is in his future.

Did this happen last year when he was down in the minors?

I believe it was during this current minor league season. The minors started at the normal start date as opposed to the NHL.
