I think Seth Davis made this up. There is no way any Big 10 coach could be so far off on player evaluations...

Taylor is an All-Big 10 defender and Bruesewitz is probably the most disappointing player on the team this year.

Only thing I have a problem with is this line "refs outside the Big Ten don't fall for that". Shouldn't it be the other way around, if true? That the Big 10 refs know what the Badgers do, so they don't call it but in the tournament, with new refs, the refs call it because they don't know what the Badgers do?

Seems to me the coach is insinuating that the refs are in cahoots with the badgers. That the refs know they are flopping and let them, but other refs don't know so they don't call it?

Doesn't make sense either way, imo.

Considering Tubby is on his last legs I would think sending a few shots at us would help endear him a bit more to Goopher Nation.

What bothers me the most about the article has nothing to do with what was said, it's that it was written by Seth Davis. I swear to God, every time I see his Joker-grinning face I want to take a bat to it. He's as stupid, uninformed and talentless as they come in the business and yet he is allowed to say and do whatever he wants.

To be completely honest, it would not surprise me at all to learn that this entire thing was made up by Davis. Hell, I bet what actually happened is he did in fact talk to these coaches but then "interpreted" the quotes in the way that he wanted. And now, he gets to say whatever he wants about all these programs under the guise of the credibility of these coaches. And the cherry on top is that the coaches are pretty much hand-cuffed from publicly saying "Hey, I didn't say that! You're twisting my words!" since everything is currently anonymous.

Hell, the more I think about what I just wrote, the more I think it's what happened. Brilliantly done, Seth. If only Batman had made it to your office in time, your dastardly plan would have been foiled once again.

Nice try. No matter what it says about MSU and others, you have to admit that Wiscy was absolutely lambasted. BTW, this isn't news to the other fans in the B1G. We've known it for years. It's just nice to finally read it in print, and watch you guys squirm about it! I mean, it doesn't get much worse than "I don't really respect the way they play. You're clearly didn't understand my point, which is about Seth Davis and not the article. My bad for having expectations. It also seems to have gone over your head that you being on our boards trying very, very hard to troll kind of makes it hard to respect anything you think or say.

Nobody here is "squirming" and nobody who knows anything about basketball will take most of the crap said about most teams on there seriously. But I'm sure the Michigan Community College folk know more than people like Ken Pomeroy, who statistically shows Wisconsin with the 3rd most effective defense in the country. http://kenpom.com/
