Bailey visits UW, has a new top 3

    He said he'd like the proximity of everything at Wisky. He then came to UNL this weekend and had this to say: "What I liked about it how the facilities were really close to each other – the academic facilities and the weight room are all really close under one room as part of the football stadium, which is what I really liked about it"

    Wisconsin is a great school. Fact. BUT...

    Nebraska is a very good school and provides its students with endless resources to succeed. Probably why they have more academics All-Americans that any other school in the nation.

    Then I said my prediction and it came true.

    You broke my 100 rating which i pretty was proud of. Thanks for nothing whoever downvoted a decent post because they cheer for Wisky and got all butthurt that I said nebraska is a better place to go for a Bailey to go.

    Who would downvote that post? I didn't, but I very easily could have. Why? Because nothing you said or implied is remotely true other than regarding football-specific facilities, and even that won't be the case after renovations are complete. Nebraska has absolutely nothing better than UW outside of those facilities. I would say your Husker delusion and whining about your 247 rating are prime examples of being "butthurt" and rude yourself. The fact that you're talking about Academic All-Americans to a fanbase of a Top 30 WORLD university, when you are easily the worst school in the Big Ten, is laughable.

  • The whole butthurt thing was a lil much but i figured i was begging for another downvote for posting again you your board so i figured what the heck.

    I don't get how you say nothing is true though. I know Wisconsin is a better school...I would have went there if they offered my major. I chose Nebraska because of the major. I never said is wasn't a superior school. To be honest when i first posted, i didn't realize it was a Wisky page, it had been linked through one of the husker topics. Probably wouldnt have said it that way if i had realized.

    Anyway, won't be posting here much more i would imagine. Can't really talk football with people who don't like you

  • It's PGA Golf Management. Basically a specialized golf business management program. Pretty cool to be graduating as a PGA professional next month. The only B10 school that offers it is PSU but i wasn't a fan of the east coast vibe when i visited.

    Go back and reread your two posts. If your intent wasn't what it sounded like, then I apologize. Also, I never meant to convey that I didn't like your or anything. The only personal thing I said was in response to you saying we ruined your rating.

    Anyway, we're not OSU, man. Just because someone said something critical of your post or downvoted you doesn't mean you're not welcome here or that we're going to attack you. Feel free to post all you want. Honestly, what we've been talking about really isn't about football. We can switch to that if you want. biggrin

    Oh wow, yeah we definitely don't have that haha. Just always curious to hear what interesting things are out there, being one of those guys who has changed their major about 9 or 10 times over the past three years.

    Best of luck getting a gig, that's a pretty awesome deal (if you love golf, of course)

    On the football side, Nebraska's offense is abysmal. While he's a defensive coach, Bielema clearly understands how important the offense is and what direction it needs to keep going in to be successful. Can the same be said of Pelini?

    Pelini brought in a guy named Tim Beck who basically is the main coach for the offense. He was at KU when they were going well some years back. Last year was the first year in the system so i'm guessing we'll see some improvement there.

    As you all saw first hand, Martinez leaves something to be desired in the passing game. I would have loved to see what they could have done last year with Russel Wilson. But even with Martinez, they did average about 30 points a game, which puts them in the top 50. Not spectacular like Wsky, but not abysmal like Penn State.

    It'll be fun to see if another year in the system and a second year into the B10 will help Nebraska in the big games they struggled in last year. Can't wait for September 29th. If you have a chance to get out to Lincoln for the game, i fully endorse it. Not quite the party atmosphere that Wisconsin has [i've been there for halloween] but we do well and are a pretty hospitable bunch. Definitely worth the trip.

    Side note, I understand Wisconsin is superior academically to UNL. I understand Nebraska is the lowest ranked school of the 12 in our conference... Its still a respected school and a top 100 school. Its not a joke.

    LOL - just a thought, if a 100 ranking is so important to you, don't go to another team's site and tell them how much better your football program is than theirs. You may make sense but you won't make friends.
