Wisconsin is putting on the full court press for Toledo (Ohio.) Whitmer 2013 Forward Nigel Hayes. Can the Badgers pull the three-star forward out of Ohio?

Lots of really positive stuff for UW in that article. UW clearly has a shot, and the staff seems to have done a great job working this recruitment, hopefully it pays off.
As a sidenote, Ohio St. is having Deontae Hawkins (6'8" and 220) in for a visit this weekend. Sounds like he's an Ohio kid doing a year at prep school, which moved him from 2012 to 2013. He doesn't have an offer at this point, but it's probably fair to assume he would jump at an OSU offer if they decided to move in that direction. Devin Williams, another 2013 PF, will be in Columbus for an official visit next weekend. He has an OSU offer and has the Buckeyes in his final three with Memphis and West Virginia. It would be very good for UW's chances if either of those guys picked OSU soon.
Awww yeah...Go get him Bucky. If Paris pulls this off it will be huge.
Yup. This would be huge. Fingers crossed.
Wow this is very encouraging. Love the fact that he's a "mamma's boy" and his mom likes us the most. That suprises me since I would assume she'd want him to be closer to home so she could see him play more, but if she's willing to look beyond simply the distance and look at the whole picture that's great. Hopefully he goes with his mom on this and closes out a pretty good class!
I'll also have some more stuff on his recruitment in Camp Confidential on Wednesday. Tease
I have to wait a whole 5/7ths of a week for this. Wow Evan wow.
The early signing period runs November 14-21. I am assuming that will sign with someone during that time period, so we should know where he's going in the next few weeks.
Thanks for that Ole. For some reason I was thinking the early signing period ran into December. I am hoping Hayes announces soon, so we don't have to be on pins and needles any longer, but based on his interview with Evan I wouldn't expect a decision until a few days before the signing period probably. You have to like our chances at the moment, but at the end of the day can he really say no to OSU, especially if they don't get another frontcourt commitment?
