  • Appreciate your work on the mailbag and such, but the way you phrase things isn't exactly accurate. You may be the first to write a story on it, but you aren't always the first to notify your members (Buddy Brown, Nicco, Williams were reported on Blitz). After what happened with CBS and JoePa, I would hate for you to lose your credibility, especially since I am thinking about subscribing.

    FWIW I know for a fact that the Nicco Whigham was first posted here LONGGG before (1-2 days) blitz picked up on the same story. I think Williams was pretty much the same time. I think Klobe posted something on both sites but I could be wrong on that.

  • Just looked it up. Evan posted insider info on whigham on the 14th, posted that he was committed on the 15th, and blitz reported whigham was committed on the 17th so Evan was indeed correct he was first to report it in that case.

  • I don't have any access to the other sites, but obviously I can see what's on their front page, so that's how I based the timeline on. Whigham was already discussed, but as for Brown, we did have the first quotes on his offer from Wisconsin and Justin Hopkins posted it on our board a few hours before the story went up.

    When it comes to insider boards, obviously I can't be 100% certain who was there first, so I appreciate the heads up.

    Yeah, there was an ESPN insider article on Williams and I posted the general information on both sites. I thought it was weird that ESPN broke the story first. That has to be the first time I have ever come across that.

  • I'm sorry, I was thinking about Buddy Brown when I wrote that about Dave Williams. We obviously weren't first to report that offer.
