I am almost never in the "offer a teammate to get the star to commit" group.

This is an exception. With Uthoff leaving, and assuming we do not get Jeter, that leaves us with five scholarships for the 2013 class...unless Washington reclassifies for the 2012 class and commits, but wouldn't change anything anyways.

Either way, I'd happily take the package deal in this case. Shit, I'd be happy to have Bo offer his best friend that's never played basketball in his life a scholarship, if it means Semi becomes a Badger. The kid is a top talent in my opinion, and I'd be happy with the staff doing absolutely anything (so long as it is within the rules) to land him.

Most importantly, it would still leave us with three scholarships for the class, two of which are open, with Koenig already on board. That means both Thomas and Washington still would have committable offers.

If we could have a 2013 class of Semi, Washington, Koenig and Matt Thomas...I don't know...lets put it this way...I'd be fine with giving the other scholarship to the ball boy if it means we get those other four guys. With those four, and Dekker in 2012...that's a national championship caliber nucleus right there. I'd be absolutely ecstatic.
