Alec James has been teaming with Chikwe Obasih on the DL for the East squad at the Semper Fidelis Bowl.

Alec James remains committed to Wisconsin but he is considering taking some official visits and has 1 already scheduled. Could in-home visits with the new coaches change that?

I had the same impression. This is the only time school pay you to visit their campus. Why not go? He seems like a UW lock though.

Can someone who knows, explain to me why James has so many more offers than Chikwe? Is it a potential/upside thing? Based off of reports so far Obasih has been a top performer this week at practice.

Ross Kolodziej and Chris Ash are no longer on the UW staff. Did you mean the new staff members, perhaps new defensive coordinator Dave Aranda and the new d-line coach Chad K?

When I was a senior at UW I made several trips to other cities for on-site job interviews. It was always on their dime and I loved it. I was 90% I knew which one I was gonna choose ahead of time, but I figured I'd hear the others out and check out the other cities.
Hopefully that's all this is. You kind of wonder if some of these kids get tired of trying to juggle playing football, going to school, and the recruiting process and so they commit to be done with it. Then a big change comes and it's their offseason and they have a little more time so they figure they'll look around.
Hard to blame them for that.
