Beaver Falls (Pa.) 2012 Small Forward Sheldon Jeter informs Badger247 that he's elected to attend Vanderbilt next fall.

Jeter also wrote on his twitter account, "Next year....I'm playing at Vanderbilt University.....If you haven't heard yet!"

Jeter, a three-star forward, chose Vanderbilt over other finalists, Penn State, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. Jeter held other offers from the likes of Florida State and Kansas State.

Jeter is rated as an 86 overall by 247sports, making him a three-star prospect.

I can live with the kid picking Vandy. He will get a great degree and play for an emerging program. I could have lived with him going to the home state school in PSU. I'm glad he didn't pick SC. That would have been a head scratcher.

Not at all surprised that he didn't pick the UW. There are some quality players out there in 2013 with UW interest (several better than Jeter)...the coaches just need to seal the deal. Lamont Paris is going to have to land a recruit in these next couple of classes to prove his worth.
