Cole received a call from Assistant Coach Jay Boulware today, who offered the four-star prospect.

Four-star Offensive Lineman Mason Cole is approaching 30 scholarship offers after Wisconsin extended one his way Friday. It was an offer Cole said he "wanted."

I'm guessing Michigan arrogance. With Hoke's no visit policy and that offer list I can't imagine the kid would commit this weekend unless Michigan is his dream school and I didn't really get that vibe from his comments.

Agreed. I didn't get the impression at all that a commitment to Michigan was a possibility. As was stated, unless he has a dream school, there's probably not a commitment on the horizon at all. Hopefully, he takes in the environment at Camp Randall and falls in love with it.

I kinda get the feeling that he views it as a benchmark offer for an offensive lineman to get an offer from UW, kind of like a linebacker getting an offer from Penn State. Hopefully the interest he seems to have in the story is legitimate instead of lip service. I don't know, maybe that is just what I read into Evan putting wanted in quotes. I'd be more than happy to be wrong.

My completely unbiased opinion is that given UW's success with sending o linemen to the NFL, any o linemen that receives an offer would be crazy not to at least check the school out.

We need to capitalize on coaches leaving. Others have done it to us, now its our turn to do it to them. We have a good shot with Brian Allen since his recruiter left too.

Evan, seeing as J Jones has an offer from Northwestern, I'm assuming his grades aren't an issue? He did seem pretty eager to hear from our new staff IIRC.
