Wisconsin junior running back Montee Ball has been selected as one of five Heisman Trophy finalists.
Ball, along with Tyrann Mathieu (LSU), Andrew Luck (Stanford), Robert Griffin III (Baylor) and Trent Richardson (Alabama), were announced as finalists on the Monday night edition of ESPN's "SportsCenter."
This season, Ball has carried 275 times for 1,759 yards and 32 touchdowns, leading Wisconsin to the Big Ten championship. Ball has accuumlated 38 total touchdowns, one touchdown shy of Barry Sander's all-time mark.
Wisconsin, currently 11-2, will play in the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Vizio on January 2nd, 2012.
The 77th annual Heisman Memorial Trophy Award will be presented on Saturday in New York.
