2014 Hoops Hotlist

Kevon Looney

Looney is Wisconsin's top target in 2014, but I'm hearing the Badgers are up against it in this one.

Badger247 breaks down Wisconsin's 2014 basketball recruiting board and analyzes the Badgers' chances of landing their offered targets.

    • Great breakdown Evan. I agree with all your weighting of our chances.
I have a good feeling about Finke if he looks at his options more than through his Illinois roots. The unknown would have to be with how a new coaching staff at Illinois is perceived. Kind of an unknown commodity especially at the B1G level. Not so much of a risk at the UW.

    • We have 2 spots left. I predict that those 2 spots are filled with kids nowhere listed on this page. Nothing against your work, Evan, quite the opposite. These prognoses sound worse at the same point than all sorts of guys we couldn't get for 2013.

      Maybe I'm just eeyore.

    • One more thing: we weren't officially eliminated by Vaughn, right? This is just based on the quality of his offers and just general lack of interest?

Do you think Minnesota has a legitimate shot? If Vaughn wants to go to UK with everyone else I'm cool with that, but not to Minnesota.

Neither Vaughn or Alexander have eliminated Wisconsin, but they aren't coming here, so no need to put them on.

As for Minnesota, he's visited there a lot. I don't think he ends up there though. If there's a surprise team I think it would be Iowa State or Baylor.

Didn't disagree with your assessment, just wanted to clarify because it related to the second part of my question.
